Michael Wimer is a motion picture producer based in Los Angeles, California, partnered with director Roland Emmerich in Centropolis Entertainment. He produced 10,000 BC and executive produced TRADE.
Prior to this, for over 18 years he was a senior agent and partner in the Motion Picture Department of Creative Artists Agency (CAA), a talent and literary agency based in Beverly Hills, California. Wimer represented many of the world’s leading film artists, including Emmerich, Michael Crichton, Pedro Almodóvar, Tony Scott, Joel Schumacher, Alan Parker, John Hughes, Harold Ramis and Oliver Stone among others. Some of the many films he worked on include DAY AFTER TOMORROW, INDEPENDENCE DAY, MAN ON FIRE, ANGELA’S ASHES, TWISTER, ANALYZE THIS, STUART LITTLE, as well as the television series E.R.
Michael received his B.A. from Harvard University and his M.B.A. from Stanford Business School. He was a Rotary Scholar, doing post-graduate work in Spain. He began his career as an investment banker with The First Boston Corporation in New York. After an internship with Walt Disney Productions, Wimer joined CAA in 1986. He is a board member of the Environmental Media Association. He is an avid surfer and an instrument-rated pilot.
Aaron Boyd began working with Centropolis Entertainment in 1998 in the television department, specifically as a production assistant to a team of writers on THE VISITOR. From there he transferred to the Entertainment division where he eventually landed as an assistant to Roland Emmerich on THE PATRIOT. He continued to work with Roland on EIGHT LEGGED FREAKS and THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW. From there he was promoted to Creative Executive, helping develop the film TRADE, and most recently serving as Co-Producer on 10,000 BC.
Kirstin Winkler joined Centropolis Entertainment in January of 2004. She began as an assistant to Ute Emmerich during the post-production of THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW. From there she moved on to assist Roland Emmerich on TRADE and most recently served as the Associate Producer on 10,000 BC.
